The FAVIA 225 / GEBA Instructor Symposium
The FAVIA 225 / GEBA Instructor Symposium is the first of its kind seminar geared specifically towards improving instructor skills. The event will be an opportunity to learn teaching techniques from nationally recognized balloon instructors brought together in one location for a weekend of education through interaction. The face-to-face structure of the symposium will allow two-way communication on a number of topics of interest to pilots wanting to pass their knowledge and skills on to future balloonists. It’s also a chance to greet old friends, make new acquaintances and meet national award winners in a relaxed environment.
FAA regulations allow commercial hot air balloon pilots to instruct for as long as their certificate is in force, but do not offer any specific guidance on retaining instructor skills beyond the initial certification. We would like to encourage pilots to voluntarily keep their skills sharp by attending our symposium. Hope to see you there.
